Abstract：Radiation vasculopathy is a common complication in patients who received head and neck
radiotherapy. Increasing attention has been paid on chronic radiation vascular stenosis. We reported a patient
who received carotid artery stenting (CAS) because of radiation vascular stenosis. Although the operation
achieved technique success, arterial dissection and severe stenosis occurred close to the proximal part of the
stent soon after CAS. Considering no ischemic stroke, we give antiplatelet and anticoagulation to the patient.
In the follow-up, there was no ischemic stroke and the stenosis close to stent was stable.
